How come my computer randomly pauses?

X_X =D: How come my computer randomly pauses?
I try to open firefox and then nothing happens, I open up task manager and nothing happens. All of a sudden, about 20 seconds later, about 5 firefox windows open up and a few task manager windows open up at the exact same instant. My screen did not freeze; I can still open up my start menu during this, I just can’t open anything up during this pause. This happened to my computer ever since I formatted my computer, before the format, this never happened to my computer. It’s just that it doesn’t open up anything.

Any solutions?

check to see if you have got your PC set for best performance.
It has likely gone back to the default setting.
Hold down Start (Windows) key, and press Pause key.
This brings up “System Properties” window.
Click Advanced tab.
Click Performance Settings button
Check “Adjust for best performance”
click OK
click OK

I have downloaded 2, both required that you buy them before they would fix the problems. One of them found 527 Errors and the other found 1033 (I have a REALLY slow computer). Where can I find one that will find and fix registry problems for FREE? I can’t buy anything.

Try checking out an anti-virus website. Norton,Firefox< or another trusted anti virus like Windows live one care.It sounds as if you may need to "back up" your computer.Also never keep your computer open to predators. They serch ovios sites like"limewire" always close these. They may pop up on the bottom of yous screen,exit out of them the moment you log on. Good luck..

You can try System Restore to see if it works. That’s if it’s not turned off.

Start> All Programs> Accessories> System Tools> System Restore

Once you done that, choose a time to restore your computer to, in your case, sometime before you uninstalled Firefox.

See, I use mozilla firefox. and does it have anything to do with the lagging? i also downloaded spyware doctor. it helps. but i want to make things go faster. like the speed is pathetic. the computers at my school have been around for years, and it’s faster than mine. not that mine isn’t old but even if it’s older than my school’s it shouldn’t be that bad.

Are they all set to the same homepage hon?
That <– is TF an error code which is telling you that your browser is looking for something it can not find.. specifically it is looking for a method on Line 268… which ain't there.

Methinks the problem is in the coding of your home page…. But.. if you have different home pages..mayhaps you have a problem with your router's firmware…

When I listen to music on iTunes, on Skype, and playing downloaded games my sound works fine its just when I watch videos. It crackles on IE, Firefox, and Google Chrome. The problem just started about 2 or 3 weeks ago. I updated everything and still nothing. Please help!

there is probably a problem with your speaker, maybe its clotted up with something. i suggest taking it to somewhere like pc world and getting it checked out. It could also be an error in your network to make it slow and make it buffer and crack. so if i were you, i would look into all corners of the technical side of your pc 🙂
