My Dell Vostro 1500 Laptop connects to the internet but the browsers are not working. I click them and it just pops with errors and stuff like the actaul thing opens as it would in ofline mode but it’s not in ofline mode. I can play a video game that connects the to internet on my laptop and use instant messengers but not my broswers. Please help!

I would need to more about what operating system you’re using, which browser and version (Internet Explorer 8?, Firefox, Google Chrome, etc) in order to give you detailed advice but you can try doing a Google search for your browser type…for example IE8 error #XXX, and see what comes up. Or repost here with the error number and browser info and I’ll try to check back.

I have been trying to send emails for two days from my Yahoo account. Everytime I hit send, I get an error message saying that internet explorer isn’t working and it shuts down. I’m not having any other issues with the internet. I went in a cleaned up my Yahoo mailbox but that didn’t help.

The Discussion Tool can cause Internet Explorer to crash when using the new Yahoo! Mail.

To fix this, look for a yellow box with the lower corner turned up along the top of the browser in the Internet Exlporer toolbar.

Click it. While clicking, look at the bottom of your browser window. Does a lower toolbar open with discussion options? If so, click the X on the far left of that toolbar and then try logging in again. This should solve the issue.

Really, I got excited when I found out that there were free smosh podcasts and I got one Smosh episode but then I wanted to download more but it won’t let me anymore. Usually when something’s downloading, it says how muc kb there is (worked for the first episode, on my ipod) but now the bar says error, then some random number pops up like .38905. Please Help!

you can just download the episodes off of youtube. if you download firefox (a free and opensource browser) and an add-on for it called youtube to mp4, it’ll let you download youtube videos.

I can’t get online. The error message says that my internet explorer has stopped working. I have run a scan through my Norton but it says I am clear of virus’ and malware.
Without being online, how do you download a new browser? I guess I can try putting it on a thumb drive.

First thing I would do is try a system restore to right before you may have applied recent updates. If you never applied them, Windows would have created some automatically for you, so go to your startmenu and search for system restore. After that, I would try an alternate web browser such as Firefox or Google Chrome. If those browsers also give you problems, time to take it to the computer shop and see if they can look at it for you, or call microsoft.

chrome does not need flash, it has got an integrated version of it its nott common that happends. did you really installed flash? does the web says you dont have flash or only appears an empty space.

Usually problems with Yahoo Mail such as missing buttons or problems loading pages indicates a problem with your web browser, not Yahoo. If your browser is up to date, try switching browsers. For example, if you usually use Internet Explorer, sign out and sign in again with Chrome or Firefox instead. i have IE8 but it is horribly slow so i switch to Google Chrome to access my Yahoo Mail and it is much faster.

To disable Compatibility mode in Internet Explorer 8, 9, or 10:
