My mail does not load at times. The mail from folders are slow to load as well. The yellow shield is displayed in the lower left hand corner signifying an error on the page.

🙂 Hello World I’m Ur Wild Gurl
Usually problems with Yahoo Mail such as missing buttons or problems loading pages indicates a problem with your web browser, not Yahoo. You may need to update your browser, enable JavaScript or turn off firewall or other features. You may have an old computer system or you may have low bandwidth or dial up which will slow your internet speed and will make it difficult to view many websites.
First, be sure your are using a browser that supports Yahoo Mail. Yahoo! Mail supports the following browsers:
Windows XP, Vista, 7, and 8:
IE 7.0 (with limited functionality)
IE 8.0 and newer
Firefox version 19 and newer
Safari version 4.0 and newer
Google Chrome version 25 and newer
Mac OS X 10.4, 10.5, and 10.6:
Firefox version 19 and newer
Safari version 4.0 and newer
Google Chrome version 25 and newer

If your browser is up to date, try switching browsers. For example, if you usually use Internet Explorer, sign out and sign in again with Chrome or Firefox instead. i have IE8 but it is horribly slow so i switch to Google Chrome to access my Yahoo Mail and it is much faster.
If you are using Internet Explorer your problem could be because of a feature called “Compatibility Mode”. You will need to switch to a different browser or turn off Compatability Mode.
To disable Compatibility mode in Internet Explorer 8, 9, or 10:
1. Open your Internet Explorer.
2. Click Tools.
3. Click to uncheck Compatibility View.
**Note: Ensure that “yahoo—” is not listed under “Websites you’ve added to Compatibility View.”
4. Close and relaunch your Internet Explorer.
5. Access Yahoo! again.
Clear your browser’s cache and cookies. See the link below for instructions on how to clear the cache and cookies determined by your browser.
**Note: Clearing your cookies will clear website passwords, and sign-in information. After clearing your cache and cookies your browser may not remember your Yahoo ID and password for you and you will need to type it in yourself.

Be sure you are using the newest versions of JavaScript and Adobe flash player and that these are enabled.

Third-party browser tools may interfere with the functions of some Yahoo! features. See the link below for information on how to turn these off determined by your web browser.

Lastly, your firewall, anti-malware, anti-virus or anti-spyware may be blocking the site. Temporarily disable each one starting with firewall to see if any are causing this problem and then you can adjust your settings to allow Yahoo Mail.
