◘ Error 999 IS a Ban … a censor tool, used by Yahoo to block a person’s ISP!

►Help-link for this Error ☞ (–//—.murraymoffatt—/software-problem-0011.html )

☞POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS TO THIS PROBLEM ARE AS FOLLOWS

◘You can do a few things if you are impatient (Re cleanup computer, dump temp files etc) but this will not help error 999.The best option if you have a dynamic IP is to do a full “flick of the switch”, and when you power back up you will come back with new IP.

♦The error also disappears by removing any links contained in your Question or an answer and then posting it without the link. Yahoo considers posting repeated links to a Website as a Spammer’s activity (–//—.emailquestions—/yahoo-mail/1232-yahoo-error-999-a.html )

◘ Best quick fix >>Login to your Yahoo! mail via an international server like this one>(–//world.yahoo—/ ) and access your Mail / YA / Games from there by clicking the mail icon, stay within that browser. That is the best temp fix for the system

→If you have a Web accelerator then try turning it off.
→Use a different Internet browser (IE OR Firefox vice versa)
→If you use a proxy server then try turning it off.
→Switch off your Modem for a while and then turn it on after a gap of 2 hours.
→Try using a strong PC registry cleaner like Glary utilities which will help you correct any errors in your browser (–//—.glaryutilities—/gu.html?tag=download&ref=update )

◘ Also reply to Yahoo using the link they give you in that Error 999 page. I did it once or twice and I was free from the Error.(–//—.astahost—/info.php/Yahoo33-Unable-Process-Request-Time-Error-999-Message-Solutions_t20124.html )

My computer keeps freezing after a few minutes of using it. Any ideas of what could be wrong?

SilverIce: My computer keeps freezing after a few minutes of using it. Any ideas of what could be wrong?
I have an ASUS notebook that in the last couple of days keeps completely freezing, usually when I am browsing the web.
It started with Firefox, then I switched to Internet Explorer, then Safari. All of them keep completely freezing, regardless of what site I am on.
I have good virus protections and I run scans every few days.
Any ideas of what to do? I have to keep manually shutting it down, which isn’t good for the system.

to start with, you are using too much memory, try to stop some of the programs you do not constantly
use from running in the background.
2nd you must defrag your system.
you should notice a big difference.

Answer: Can anyone tell me why my computer keeps losing a connection?

king_typo: Can anyone tell me why my computer keeps losing a connection?
When using the internet, I get an error report from IE. Saying if i want to close the application OR if i want to report it to MS. I run virus scans constantly, and daily as a matter of fact.If i am lucky IE will re-establish my connection, and I will not have to back track to get to the page i was viewing at the time i lose connection.

That error could be from a million things within IE itself or your operating system.
I personally recommend using any of the below browsers instead.

Firefox:
–//—.mozilla—/en-US/firefox/firefox.html

Opera:
–//—.opera—/

Flock:
–//flock—/

Answer: Firefox keeps giving error 0x80004005 for the ajax?

cactusgene: Firefox keeps giving error 0x80004005 for the ajax?
Why does Firefox keep giving me the message “Component returned failure code: 0x80004005”?

I know it’s kind of like an ajax problem but I don’t know how to solve it properly. Any ideas about this? My javascript stuff works fine on all other browsers.

It could be due to Firefox’s cross-domain policy. Or Adblock. Or a number of other things specific to Firefox.
Google the error message and you will find lots of causes for this error (and solutions).

My friend is also having the same problem, running IE on Vista. It works for me running Firefox on XP. What you can try to do is redownload Adobe Flash Player 10 if not already. Im not sure on other solutions as of now.

EDIT: My friend found this
“okay u guys will thank me for this..

okay go to the bottom left where it says applications
on the top click edit
then go to where the video app is and click edit settings
then allow everything!”

Im a little skeptic about it but its worth a try.

just get firefox –//—.mozilla—/firefox/
then go to https://addons.mozilla—/
and get a bunch of cool addons for it.

How come Internet explorer keeps kicking me off of the Internet and does it make sense to send the error report considering it hasn’t fixed the problem?

Check in your Internet Options for your security levels and sites that you are allowed to use. Perhaps, it has made it to the list that your computer is not allowed to open. Good luck. Peace:)

Subcommander Grapefruit: Firefox keeps shutting down when I try to play anything other than a .wmv file?
Anytime I try to play any file other than a .wmv file on the Internet, Firefox has an error and shuts down. The same goes for Internet explorer. Anybody know why this is and how to fix it?

Most likely caused by a faulty codec.
To remove codecs > –//labnol.blogspot—/2006/12/how-to-remove-or-uninstall-audio-video.html

Windows Media Player will automatically re-install codecs once you remove them. So remove all the ones you think may be causing the problem.
