How to extend the time for the error: connection has timed out?

mac_pc: How to extend the time for the error: connection has timed out?
Im using firefox and my broadband connection is working perfectly fine.
When I am searching a website on the address bar it takes a short time to search for it and gives the error:”The connection has timed out”. This error only occurs for some sites, is there any way to extend the search time so it actually takes time searching without giving the error quickly. Otherwise websites like yahoo, google, etc are loading quickly without any problems.

Somethings not right with your connection first of all. Are you uploading or downloading @ high rates the same time your attempting to go on these websites. Google and yahoo run on very high quality servers, so compared to an individuals site, their site may not be able to handle the amount of traffic on their servers, which is why you would be getting the time out error.

When using the internet, I get an error report from IE. Saying if i want to close the application OR if i want to report it to MS. I run virus scans constantly, and daily as a matter of fact.If i am lucky IE will re-establish my connection, and I will not have to back track to get to the page i was viewing at the time i lose connection.

That error could be from a million things within IE itself or your operating system.
I personally recommend using any of the below browsers instead.

Firefox:
–//—.mozilla—/en-US/firefox/firefox.html

Opera:
–//—.opera—/

Flock:
–//flock—/
