How to stop “google installer has a problem and needs to close” ?

Treacle: How to stop “google installer has a problem and needs to close” ?
I have uninstalled google chrome already and only have firefox and IE yet I still keep getting this annoying pop up notice that says google installer has encountered a problem and needs to close several times a day.Please help me get rid of the thing before it drives me nuts.

MY EASY SOLUTION

ok here is what i did.

i got the trojan and had the google installer error every 14 minutes. it would not allow me to open Malwarebyte’s Anti-Mallware or install other malware/spyware programs. i had previously intalled Malwarebyte’s program.

so i went to the Malwarebyte’s folder in C:/Program Files/Malwarebyte’s Anti-Malware and renamed the executable for the program “fluffy.exe”. i guess it seemed harmless enough for the trojan and allowed me to open the program, scan, and delete the trojan.

try it out, if you have to install malwarebytes program you may need to rename the install .exe something harmless as well, but i didn’t so don’t quote me.

it has been about 5 hours and no google installer error, hopefully that means it is dead.
