Try checking out an anti-virus website. Norton,Firefox< or another trusted anti virus like Windows live one care.It sounds as if you may need to "back up" your computer.Also never keep your computer open to predators. They serch ovios sites like"limewire" always close these. They may pop up on the bottom of yous screen,exit out of them the moment you log on. Good luck..

What does the pop-up saying that AOL no long support Netscape and telling me to upgrade to firefox/flock mean?

The popup appears tonight. It says AOL is no longer supporting Netscape and its no longer getting its future updates and is no linger secured because of that. Then another pop-up urges me to downlaod firefox or flock. What is going on? In what way and to what extent is Netscape’s security being jeopardized without AOL’s support?

It means that AOL is no longer accepting responsibility for security errors if you’re running Netscape. Download Firefox.
